ABOUT COMMUNITY C.A.R.E. & OUR FOUNDERS

Myron & Deborah Bradford
The Community C.A.R.E. Program of North Texas is a 501C3 Non-profit Organization dedicated to building bridges of hope between the economically disadvantaged in our local communities and abroad, faith based entities, corporations and businesses.
The program was founded in 2006 by Myron and Deborah Bradford, who believe that a small gesture of kindness can sometimes be the difference between success and failure.
Since its inception in 2006, the program has enlisted the help of local automobile dealers to donate gently used vehicles to single mothers across the Dallas – Fort Worth (DFW) area; however, the request is not limited to auto dealers alone. Vehicle donations are welcomed and accepted from any individual that would like to participate in this worthy cause. Automobile ownership can make a difference in the lives of women who are raising their children alone. A mother with reliable transportation can take her children to and from school, to extra-curricular activities and appointments. It can also provide an opportunity for her to invest in her own future, by continuing her education or obtaining employment.
The Community C.A.R.E. Program of North Texas has also partnered with Habitat for Humanity, and elementary schools within Dallas Independent School District (DISD) to purchase school uniforms. During Hurricane Katrina, the Community C.A.R.E. Program assisted in the evacuation of residents by sending buses and cars to storm damaged areas in Louisiana. It has also participated in an appreciation day for Senior Citizens which included makeovers, relaxation activities, and the purchase of groceries, as well as field trips for children and teens in the McKinney area.
Myron Bradford is the Senior Pastor of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, a multi-cultural church, dedicated to reaching the community and the world-at-large with the message of Jesus Christ; and a church that stands as a beacon of hope, in the McKinney community for four decades.
